What are the requirements for API levels on Google Play? What are the corresponding solutions?

From August 1, 2022, the required API level for new apps released on Google Play is 31 (Android 12);

From November 1, 2022, for apps updating versions on Google Play, the new version's API level requirement is 31 (Android 12);

From November 1, 2022, for apps already released on Google Play, if their API level is lower than 30 (Android 11), new users with Android 12 and above systems will not be able to find and download their apps.

【Countermeasure】

For OEM Apps, Tuya has adapted the Google's API level to 30 (compatible with Android 11) in the v3.26.5 and above templates; In the v3.34.5 and above templates, it has adapted the Google's API level to 31 (compatible with Android 12),

1) If your app is first-time shooting, please switch to template 3.34.5 and above for construction and publication after August 1;

2) If your app is an updated version for publication, please switch to the 3.34.5 and above template for construction and publication after November 1;

3) For custom apps, if there is a need to update the app in the near future, please contact your project manager for Google API adaptation work to avoid affecting your app publishing progress;

4) If your app has been published to Google Play, and your template is lower than v3.26.5, it is recommended to upgrade your app as soon as possible, to avoid situations where your end consumers cannot download the app.
