A device reports {"unit": "W","min":0,"max":50000,"scale":1,"step":1}. What do scale and step mean?

scale: The data will be transmitted in an exponential conversion of 10.
Example value: 0, which is the 0th power of 10, i.e. 1.
step: The incremental spacing of the data (step size), which together with scale determines the amount of data to be transferred.
Example value: step=5, scale=1, means that the data transferred is step*10 ^ scale=5*(10 ^ 1)=50.
