What is Bluetooth mesh?

In 2017, the Bluetooth SIG officially approved the mesh technology. Low-power Bluetooth devices started to apply mesh technology to achieve large-scale IoT connections. This provides more possibilities for smart homes.

Bluetooth mesh is applied to build a low-power Bluetooth network topology for many-to-many device communication. It is compatible with Bluetooth 4.0 and 5.0 and uses Bluetooth devices as signal relays. Low-power Bluetooth broadcast is used for information sending and receiving, ensuring many-to-many device communication and expanding the network coverage.

Bluetooth mesh mainly applies to building automation, wireless sensor networking, asset tracking, and other solutions.
