Continuous triggering indicates that an automation setting is triggered continuously only if conditions are met.
Edge triggering indicates that an automation setting is triggered only once when conditions are met. It is triggered again when the conditions are not met and then met again.
For example, when the temperature is higher than 10°C, action A is triggered. If the current temperature is 15°C, the automation setting is triggered within 10 minutes after it is created. If you choose continuous triggering, the automation setting is triggered at 10 minutes intervals, that is, the system handles the temperature information at 10 minutes intervals. If you choose edge triggering, the automation setting is triggered only once if the temperature does not change in a short period. When the temperature is lower than 10°C for more than 10 minutes and becomes higher than 10°C, the automation setting is triggered again within 10 minutes.
