What are value functions?

A value function has a value that can be adjusted linearly. For example, in the temperature adjustment function, the temperature range of 20 to 40 with a step of 1, in degrees Celsius (°C), means that the supported temperature range is 20°C to 40°C and that the temperature changes by 1°C upon each adjustment. The scheduling function allows you to set a schedule to turn a device on or off in an integral number of hours from 1 hour to 12 hours. The function value range is 1 to 12, with a step of 1, in hours.
