App channel —— Manage sale regions

Last Updated on2025-03-26 07:01:31
After creating your store, you can sell through two channels: the App channel and the website.
For the App sales channel, AppMall provides more control, including the management of sales regions. The determination of whether to display store information is based on the user's registered country in the App, serving as the basis for sales region determination.
As for the website in the form of a webpage, the distribution to countries is determined by the merchant.
Constraints:
• App data is stored in different data centers, and data isolation exists between different data centers.
• For AppMall's sales region management, within a single data center, only one store is supported.
• In each data center, only specific countries/regions are supported. If you exceed the supported countries/regions, you need to create a new store.
In this section:
  • App Data Center
  • AppMall Sales Region
  • Cross-border selling

App Data Center

Due to national regulations and data security considerations, App data is stored in different data centers, and these data centers are isolated from each other. Learn more

AppMall Sales Region

When you create a store, selecting your primary country determines that AppMall will store the shop's data in the corresponding data center. For example, if the primary country is the United States, the data center will be in the Western America data center.

Managing sales regions within the same data zone:

If the store's sales countries/regions are within the same data zone, you can directly add or remove countries/regions
Steps:
1. In the AppMall admin panel, navigate to the App channel through the navigation menu.
2. Choose OEM Apps page, click the "Manage" button in the "Sales Region" .
3. By default, select the corresponding data center tab based on the store's data zone. You can add or remove countries by clicking on the country.
4. App users may register in countries outside of the sales area, and if you want to support these users to visit your store, you can Turn on the option for 'Other countries/regions'
5. Click 'Save' to complete the management of the sales region for the store.

Managing sales regions across different data zones

If the store's sales countries/regions need to span different data zones, the merchant needs to create a new store in the new data zone.
Note that the Plug-in App Mall can cross data regions, that is, the sales country/region of a store, and can correspond to multiple countries/regions under multiple data centers.
The End-to-End App Mall cannot be cross-data-zoned, and merchants need to re-create products, configure payment channels, and other information

Cross-border selling in End-to-End App Mall

When expanding your sales regions, it's essential to enhance the localized experience for users in newly added countries/regions. Consider configuring multi-currency and multi-language information for your store.
